Stay on top of Netflix’s Instant Watch with FeedFliks’ Streaming Central

FeedFliks Streaming Central

FeedFliks Streaming Central

Netflix’s Streaming/Instant Watch Service is growing by leaps and bounds. Take a look at this graph where you can see the explosive growth.

Netflix currently offers over 17,000 movies and TV episodes on IW:  not always the latest and greatest to be sure, but there are some really good options there. Unlike DVDs which are available pretty much forever, Streaming titles come and go with changing availability windows. We know that many FeedFliksers are huge Streaming fans and we’ve started a small section to help them stay on top of all this. The link is http://feedfliks.com/streaming and you’ll be able to see:

Titles Expiring Soon – these are titles that are on the verge of becoming unavailable – and you should check the list out and Stream anything you’re interested in rightaway

Titles Just Arrived – these are titles that have come available in the past week and might just include the title you’ve been waiting for.

Titles Just Expired – admittedly, this is just masochistic but you can see what you might have missed so you can be more careful in the future!

New, Improved Movie Detail Pages

Casablanca Details

Casablanca Details

We’ve added information to Movie Detail Pages that lots of users found useful: the activity on a title. You’ll now be able to see how many FeedFliksers have rented a title as well as how many people have queued it up.

Here’s what Casablanca looks like, as an example.  We’ve also made the names of the director and the cast click-able links to their own pages. So, if you loved a particular actress or director you can instantly see what other movies they’ve been part of.

FeedFliks – now search by Genre

A small but useful addition to FeedFliks Search: you can now filter by Genre. We’re also now sorting the results by average ratings so that highly rated titles show up at the top. Ever wanted to see a Comedy on Instant Watch that was made after 1999 and only have an hour to spare? We’ll now be able to tell you what your best options are!

Introducing FeedFliks Search

We’d excited to introduce FeedFliks Search. We’re starting simple and plan on improving it constantly. We think it’s pretty useful even on Day 1: You can search by Title, Average Rating, Duration and Release Year – and yes you can restrict to Streaming/Instant Watch titles only.  Here’s what it looks like:

On the results page you’ll be able to add titles in the search results directly to your Netflix Queues (use the green button for your DVD Queue and the blue button for your Instant Queue). Leave us a comment here or email us with your feedback!
